Special Ops 1.5 Trailer, Release Date, Star Cast, Production & More



Kay Kay Menon is set to come with their upcoming Special Ops 1.5 spy thriller on a digital platform. it is a prequel to Special Ops that revolved around an R&AW mission to execute a terrorist who was responsible for exploding a bomb in India.

It featured 8 episodes and received huge appreciation, especially Kay Kay’s performance as Himmat Singh, from audiences as well as critics, as a result of which the creators decided to bring Himmat Singh’s story into the next sequel they officially announced in April 2020.

Featured production and distribution of Special Ops 1.5

Special Ops was nominated in 8 Filmfare OTT Awards and won two. In January 2021, the Disney + streaming platform Hotstar announced the new season of the show. Filming for Special Ops 1.5 started in February 2021 and ended in July 2021, it was filmed mainly in India and Ukraine.

The show stars Kay Kay Menon, Aftab Shivdasani, Adil Khan, Vijay Vikram Singh and Vinay Pathak. it will be released on the Disney + Hotstar streaming platform this year, although the release date has yet to be officially announced. The series will only have three to four episodes and it will be a limited series as the title suggests Special Ops 1.5.

His teaser was released on October 14, 2021 on the official DisneyPlus Hotstar youtube channel, in 12 hours it crossed 5 lakh over views with 41,000 likes, they uploaded it with the caption: “Himmat Singh is back , and this time we’re going to go back in time with him. Viewers are delighted to see Kay Kay again as Himmat Singh on the digital platform. The show’s trailer is slated to arrive in early November.

This is an action spy thriller, Neeraj Pandey created the show, directed by Neeraj himself with Shivam Nair, Neeraj also wrote the show with Deepak Kingrani, the show is funded by Shital Bhatia, it is directed under the banner of Friday Storytellers. Star India is the distributor.
