Game preview between San Diego State and Nevada
Why Nevada will win
Can the passing game do enough to take San Diego State out of its warm and cozy comfort zone?
It’s not an Aztec team that can bombard or go into a semblance of a shootout, but they have a deadly defense that stifles just about every style and every team except… Fresno State.
Utah was not Utah, it is now when the Aztecs claimed the shocking victory in mid-September, and so are teams that can pitch. Fresno State has the only offense with a powerful passing play, and Jake Haener and his company took the victory 30-20 with 247 passing yards.

Why the State of San Diego will win

what’s going to happen
The winner still has work to do, but he will be in control of the West Division title. Considering both teams lost to Fresno State – which is one game behind the two – the loser could be all but eliminated with two conference games to go.
In general, Nevada is too good against the run to get hammered by the San Diego state attack.
Yes, the Aztecs have been excellent on the field with five 200 consecutive rushing yards to start the season, but they haven’t had more than 165 yards in the last four games.
Nevada will get their passing game just enough for San Diego State to start throwing a bit. It won’t be a plus.
