Hyderabad honors victims of Gokul Chat-Lumbini park bombing


Hyderabad: On Wednesday, the city paid tribute to the victims of the double bombings in Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park on the 14th anniversary of the incident. A total of 42 people – 32 in Gokul Chat and 10 in Lumbini Park – were killed in the explosions on the evening of August 25, 2007.

The Gokul Chat Bandar was closed in memory of those killed in the two blasts. Syed Raheem, who lost one eye in the blast and has since suffered from various health problems, along with a few others paid tribute to those who lost their lives.

He called on the government to immediately hang all those found guilty by the court and not keep them in high-security prisons. “Keeping the perpetrators alive means denying justice to the families of the victims. The government should take action to hang them, ”Raheem, who is also a member of the Association of Terrorist Bombing Victims, told Telangana Today.

Several local leaders and social activists visited and paid tribute to the victims of the blasts.
